Facilities
& Services
Accommodation
As a resident at The Heathers you will be allocated
a bright and spacious
single or companion room in accordance with your wishes and
care needs.
All rooms are furnished to a high standard with adequate facilities
for
clothing and other personal belongings. All are fitted with
a Nurse Call
facility and TV point. Although a television set is
provided in all rooms,
you may if you wish to provide your own. Residents may also
choose to
replace other furnishings normally provided by the Home (such
as an
easy-chair, chest of drawers, pictures) with their own.
Meals
We aim to provide meals that are attractive and nutritious,
meet any
cultural requirements of residents and which satisfy their dietary
needs.
Nutritional needs are closely monitored and any problems referred
to a
GP or dietician. The meals served are: breakfast; dinner; tea;
supper.
These can be taken in the dining room, or the residents lounge
but they
may be taken in the privacy of your own room when it is desirable
to do so.
Assistance is given by care staff to those who have difficulty
in feeding
themselves. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are served in the
lounges
or bedrooms.
Trial Periods
We would welcome any prospective residents to come and spend
a couple
of days with us to sample the high standard of care that we
offer. This trial
period would be free of charge. We are confident
that one or two days
spent in our care will help make up your mind that The
Heathers would
provide a wonderful setting for you to call “Home”.
